What Can I Do To Improve My Attention?
Whenever possible, reconstruct the environment (e.g., shut doors and windows, turn off computers and machines) to minimize distraction due to background noise.
Break down large jobs into smaller tasks, and likewise, schedule frequent, short (e.g., 30-minute) work sessions rather than one long (e.g., 3-hour) work session. For example, for every 30 minutes of work, take a 3-4 minute break.
To increase motivation, follow a less desirable task with a more desirable task, making the completion of the first necessary to perform the second.
Use direct eye contact when listening to someone.
